The Scales presented here were created for a number of reasons. First, there was a demonstrated need, both in the practice of educational (School Psychology domain), as well as in direct educational intervention, for instruments that allow us to move forward in evaluating and improving the daily processes of teaching and learning. Within the field of educational advising, “guidance for the improvement of teaching and learning processes” is an first-order area for intervention from Educational and School Psychology. In Educational Psychology, evaluation of any teaching-learning process, formal or informal, must be carried out systematically in order to provide relevant information for making improvements. At school and in formal education situations, improving and adapting teachinglearning processes also requires rigorous evaluation, such improvements being a highly current objective in advising and intervening in the teaching practice. Without this information it is difficult to carry out any lasting adjustment process in the different levels of curriculum definition or in didactic action within the classroom.
